# Collect Information
The API facilitates gathering information by creating a self-generated URL (secure link).

A secure link offers a different approach to gathering data than traditional and manual methods. The secure links are safe and compliant with the Industry Data Security Standards. The solution uses advanced encryption and tokenization technologies to protect customer data and prevent fraud. After the secure links are created, they can be shared with beneficiaries worldwide to collect their data.

**How does it work?**
1. The customer initiates an API call using external\_id, country, and currency.
2. The system creates a beneficiary draft and generates a secure link with the token.
3. The customer presents a link to the beneficiary via the website or email.
4. Beneficiary access link.
5. The system validates the token.
6. Beneficiary enters banking details in edit UI.
7. The system saves banking details securely.
8. Notification to the customer via a webhook.
9. The customer checks the data status via API.
